Sindh Provincial Convention of Pakistan India Peoples Convention held in Karachi - a report on Jan 21, 2015

Sindh Provincial Convention of Pakistan India Peoples Convention Held here in Karachi. I. A Rehman President Pakistan Chapter chaired the provincial convention. Former Secretary Pakistan Chapter Anis Haroon, Uzma Noorani, Asad Iqbal Butt, Shabnam Rasheed were also joined the presidium.

The participants adopted a Resolution and expressed concern on increasing tension and firing incidents at borders causing loss to human life. The situation requires to initiate dialogue however instead of resuming dialogue from both sides are alleging each other through media. The Resolution suggested that both governments should resume talk and immediately relax visa restrictions that will enhance peoples interaction with each other and provide opportunity to end negative perception about each other. The Resolution demanded to restore secretary level talks as first towards talks for enhancement cooperation in the field of trade, culture, education and most importantly fighting with common issues like poverty and terrorism.
The delegates elected 11 member Sindh Provincial Organizing Committee with Asad Iqbal Butt as its convener.

Among other participants Advocate Aqil Lodhi, Dr. Riaz Memon, Ramzan Memon, Muneer Memon, Lala Hassan Pathan, Malka Khan, Abdullah Dayo, Aabida Ali, Sharafat Ali, Rahat Saeed, Sidra Saeed, Shakoor Abbasi, Rana Ansar, Quratul Ain Mirza, Khadim Mirani, Dodo Chandio, Murad Pandrani, Dr. Iqbal Bhurt, Naghma Iqtidar were prominent. Total 75 delegates from all over Sindh participated the convention.
